Michael Bonita adds to his success at the Borgata Fall Poker open with a runner-up finish to Michael Sneideman. On the final hand, Bonita's QT doesn't improve against AK and he settles for second place and $20,839.
"It's my best run so far this Fall Open," says Bonita who has three cashes in the four events he's played. "I've been playing more and more tournaments and mixing it up a lot more," he says about his recent success.
Bonita was over matched and never got a double-up with Sneideman holding nearly 85% of the chips when they began heads up play.
In addition to his highest career finish, Bonita came in 10th place in the six-max bounty (Event 9), and finished 30th in the $100,000 Guarantee (Event 6) in this series.
Bonita owns a landscaping business and has increasingly found more time to play poker beyond his usual attendance of the Borgata Winter Poker Open.
