Martin Breaks Bubble
A player in early position makes it 12k and it folds to Nancy Martin (Washington Crossing, PA) who defends from the big blind.
Martin checks the flop of Q♠ T♥ 9♠ and can't get her chips in fast enough when her opponent moves all in for 75k.
Martin tables the nuts with K♠ J♠ against her opponent's 87 off suit, drawing to runner-runner chop. When the miracle doesn't happen, the elimination sends the remaining 27 players into the money.
"She even had the flush redraw," points out one player who can't believe Martin flopped the winning straight.
As the players are buzzing about the hand, Martin says, "thank you, Nancy," as her smile beams from ear to ear. "I'll take tips," she laughs while her stack grows to 230k, "that was un-be-lievable."
Players are guaranteed a min cash of $1,137; 20 minutes are going back on the clock to make up the time missed in hand-for-hand play.
After a color-up break and 66 minutes of play the field will bag and tag at 3 am.
