Level 11: Blinds 500/1,000/100 ante
Nadel Staying Alive
While a lot of short stacks where on Table 31, which just broke, the opposite is true on Table 9. Four players have stacks of more than 120k, including Sam Taylor and Cliff Josephy, putting the average stack here at 85k (85 bb).
Feeling the pinch is Eric Nadel (West Orange, NJ) who started the day with 19k (19 bb), but recently got a double-up through Taylor. "He had 5-6 suited," says Josephy, "the best 6-high you can have."
Nadel, who is wearing a "Dr. Pickle" hoodie, found himself in a pickle against Taylor's KJ, but he gets the double-up and is now at 28k.
Table 11 has even more chips in play to start with an average of 92k. The big stacks are Fernando Diaz (157k) and Norberto Camacho (156k).
As for the shorties on Table 31, Michael Bonita busted and jumped into the 11 am tournament. Bonita finished runner-up in Event 10 ($660 entry) for $21,000.
